General Consultation
We offer general advice on legal issues whenever you need it.
Many of our clients are not large enough to have full-time in-house attorneys, which is why we offer general advisory services on a subscription basis in addition to hourly and flat-rate projects. Some people think of them as fractional outside general counsel services.
We know that many people hesitate to reach out to their lawyers if they just want to bounce something off them or make sure their instincts about an issue are right. Why? Clients say they know the meter will start running immediately when they call, and even clients who can clearly afford it say they hesitate sometimes. Our subscription services solve this problem by inviting clients to raise issues they might otherwise try and handle themselves, whether they are purely legal, purely business, or somewhere in between.
Documents that you should bring may include any of the following:
-
Contracts
-
Any key correspondence in letters, emails, texts, voicemails, etc.
-
Other documents related to the case
What is discussed in a legal consultation will heavily depend on your particular legal issue. However, some discussions that normally occur at a consultation include the following:
-
Costs / damages
-
Legal claims and facts
-
The business impact of choosing one course of action over another
All legal consultations are confidential and protected by attorney-client privilege, even if you never hire us.
